Re-Certification Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Do I have to retake the examination to recertify?
No. You may recertify by exam or by continuing education. If you choose continuing education, you must provide proof of 12 CEUs in radiology coding attained from the date of certification to the deadline date for re-certification. Please visit the continuing education section of this Web site for complete details.

Q. What is the application deadline for re-certification by Continuing Education?
The application deadline for re-certification by continuing education is 60 days prior to the expiration of your current certification. Please visit the continuing education section of this Web site for complete information.

Q. What coding sessions are accepted by RCCB® for RCC re-certification?

Note: All allied organizations' coding sessions are not automatically accepted by RCCB® for RCC re-certification. Please contact info@rccb.org for confirmation before attending.

Q. What if my certificate becomes lost or I have a change of name?
There is a $10 replacement fee for a copy of your RCC certificate.
